It’s no secret that I love Christmas… all of it. Sometimes I think I might possibly love the lead-up more than the main event, but then I get to the main event and love that more than the lead-up. All year I look forward to when I can legitimately watch Christmas movies ( from November 1 – if you follow me on my Facebook author page, I’ve been reviewing the ones I watch this year) and when I can play Christmas songs (from the minute the tree goes up on the first Sunday in December) and when I can begin Christmas baking (from December 1).
This year’s seasonal baking is starting off with a spiced cranberry and orange shortbread. It’s a cross between the spiced orange shortbread and the orange and chocolate chip shortbread, and will fill your kitchen with all the Christmassy smells you want at this time of the year.
As for the plate I have these ones on, it’s one of two Spode Christmas plates I picked up at the op shop last Christmas. They’ve gone to a good home.
Anyways, you’ll find the recipe here.
