This sounds like an awesome month, Jo. Your food photos had me drooling (as usual). If anyone (besides you) is reading this comment, and has not yet read or ordered 'Murdered in the Mangroves, I can't recommend this enough: Stop whatever you are doing and order a copy right now. Your welcome! <3 Murder in the Mangroves was one of my favourite reads in the last six months, and it had many fabulous books to compete with.
What a fabulous June you had Jo. I loved Geneva as well - I mean any audio narrated by Nicola Walker gets me and Richard Armitage isn't half bad either! They certainly helped me through some training runs. Your Sydney trip looks lovely and so good to spend time with your Mum and Dad - even though I think you were a little competitive there with the walking LOL :) I'm so pleased I stumbled across the Jane Austen series and that you enjoyed it. I'm going to watch it again. So much background information. I thought we had covered it all in our Book Club meetings but so many layers to her life and books aren't there. Dept Q we've just finished and you can't beat a UK Crime series in my book. Have a great June and thanks for co-hosting #WBOYC? xx
Your food photos make me hungry, Jo. Sounds like you've had a wonderful June with family, friends, travel, books, good food and more. Thank you for co-hosting #WBOYC with Sue, Deb and Donna. Have a great weekend and a fabulous July! ~Natalie~
We just made our Italy meal this week and found a lovely cookbook through our library to guide us. It looks like June was lots of fun. We don't have any travel plans for July either.
So this is the comment when I say "how did you ever fit in the day job??" what a wonderful wrap of the month too. Lots happening and lots to get excited about coming up. The Byron escape looked lovely. We have a soft spot for the far north coast as B grew up there and we spent many family and 'just us' hols there too.
Enjoy your visit from the friends from NZ. You always do.
Hi Jo - it sounds like a wonderful month - my mum's 83 too and she can't walk hills anymore. But, man she's a rocket on her mobility scooter - scarily so! Amazing that your mum is still so mobile and giving you a run for your money. Loved all your food shots - you always make me want dumplings after I read your posts. And congrats on all your book-ish stuff. xx
This is a great recap Jo! So much to love - time with your parents, walking, food, writing!!
Grant and I listened to Geneva a while ago on a road-trip and were hooked! Murder in the Mangroves is fabulous and you are doing so well with all your author stuff and will nail it at the Hobart function. Thanks for all you're doing behind the scenes for our Simply Stunning Podcast too, looking forward to next week's chats.
Let's hope those walking genes have been inherited and you'll be walking that far at the same age!
What great food and beach photos - I'm pleased your restaurant trip was up to your expectations, the food looks delicious.

Sounds like a great month Jo. I've been loving the Rise of a Genius. Hope you also have a great July.
